I went on a canoe trip in July, and saw thousands of turtles across the side of the river.?

Has anyone else had this experience? I Cought over 14 turtles, tortoises break res, and a few other types. im wondering if anyone else has seen this, because there were so many, as, in each session there was atleast 20 turtles.it was in Missouri. Yes, all the time here in Florida if you canoe somewhere where there are only patches of sunlight coming through the trees, you will see turtles piled … sometimes sleeping in the back of crocodiles. As for the catch, why?! They are very happy that their a, and many in many states, the capture of wild turtles for pets is illegal (In addition, these turtles are used to being in nature, and probably will not do very well in captivity.)
