Canoe Iowa Rivers

Canoe trip in March, idea’s needed?
Hello,
A few of my buddies and me have about 9 days off in march from school and we are looking to do some kind of remote canoe trip. We all live in Iowa but have no problem driving anywhere. We are kind of hopeing to get away from the Midwest to somewhere a little bit warmer, so maybe something South or Southwest, however we want it to be remote, we are looking for maybe a 4 or 5 day trip. Any reccomendations for rivers would be appreciated, we’re looking for something pretty and remote, nothing with a lot of towns or cities along it.
We will be traveling with one canoe and one touring kayak!
thanks for your help!
-Drew
Well I was thinking anything North of Iowa and we might be dealing with serious amounts of Snow in Mid-March wich is when we are planning to go. We dont want to do any whitewater harder then Class II and are hopeing to do a bit of fishing too BTW.
Drive down to Arkansas and paddle the Buffalo River. It’s a National Wild and Scenic River and you will love it!
