Any ideas for a 4-day high adventure canoe trip in NE US on a low budget?

My buddy and I want to take a 4 day non-traditional wilderness canoe trip.. He lives in Ohio and I live in New York.. Our ideal trip will be full of nature and camping along the river.. maybe a few rapids here and there…. we are open to renting a canoe, but buying a cheap/used one would be better… also open to either using a canoe service, or paying some random person to drop us off/pick us up (“Deliverance” style). Any ideas of a good river for us to do this on?

You both drive to Maine. Mount Kathadin is the best place I have ever hiked in. Plus the Moosehead lake has free camping and you guys can stay on the lake for 4 days canooeing and having fun.

There’s a dead body in front of Frannie’s Bar & Grill and the rumor mill is in full swing.Terrapin, Ohio, is the kind of small town where everybody knows everybody else’s business, and if you don’t, you can find out from Nate Willoughby at his in-home barber shop. “Every man deserves a few good words said over him when he kicks the bucket,” Nate says.
