Allegheny National Forest Canoeing
Algebra 2 help. I need help trying to develop the equation. Please
?
okay this is kind of long.
You and nine friends have decided to take a few days to go camping in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny national forest. You are planning a recreational budget of $50 per day for activities. On one of the days you will rent canoes and tubes to explore the Clarion River. Tube rentals cost $.6.95, and the cost to rent a canoe is 10.95 for three hours. Each person would need a tube, but canoes can hold up to three individuals. In order to budget for your day on the river, consider the following questions.
Write an equation that shows how many tubes (t) and canoes (c) you would need to accommodate your group.
I just need help developing the equation. I’m always struggling with this part. Thanks
there’s a total of 10 people
no. of tubes (t) = 10(no. of people). t cost of tubes alone for 10people will be $69.5.
since each canoe can hold upto 3 people, u will need 4 canoes for 10 people. this would cost 4 x 10.95 = 43.80 dollars. and it wud b for 3 hours only. so the total cost of taking ur group for the activity (requiring 4 canoes and 10 tubes) for only 3 hours will be 69.5 + 43.8 = $113.30. this exceeds the $50 budget. are you sure u have mentioned all the facts? is the $50 budget per day or per person, coz u may need to rent the canoes for 6 or mayb even 9 hours and will have 2 adjust tprice accordingly.
hope this helped some ![]()
