Brantford is no stranger to raising Canada's icons. It is known as your city for being the birthplace of Alexander Graham Bell. Brantford not done there, however, is also home to one of the greatest athletes of all time – Wayne Gretzky.

Brantford is located in the Rio Grande in southern Ontario. It is home to just over 90 000 inhabitants. Not just a place where greatness is born though. It is home to its own set of great attractions, and here are a few:

1. Canada Day Festival: Almost every city has a Canada Day Festival. If you have a festival that may have set halfway or at least a fireworks show. Brantford leads to the next level though. In 2004, nobody was able to organize an event Brantford Canada. The mayor promised that would never happen again. He got the ball rolling by a nonprofit organization dedicated to planning the event Day Canada.

This organization has set up a spectacular show. With a budget of almost $ 250 000 in the Canada Day festival has turned into an agreement big time. Headliners have included Juno winners, The Trews and Jeff Healy. Shining Stars Tourism Awards has recognized the festival twice in 2006 and 2009. The festival regularly attracts more than 35 000 people.

2. The Ford plant: This is not where they are built F150. In fact, this is not related to the Ford Motor Company at all. The Ford plant is a non-profit music venue that has been around since 2002. It has also been used as an art gallery and shop music / tag.

The real attraction is the music although the place. The Ford plant is unique in that only seats about 100 people. This makes for intimate performances and live rock, and it is not surprising to see that spill outside. The Ford plant has received large Canadian Blue Rodeo, and as acts of a more high tech as Arcade Fire and Tokyo Police Club. CBC Radio described as one of Canada's Top 20 live music venues.

3. The Great River: The river crosses a large expanse of Grand Ontario. Why mention it in an article in Brantford? Well built Brantford in this stretch of the Rio Grande and we can thank its success and in a village in the fact that it is in the deepest part.

In some areas of the Grand River is almost reduced to a minimum with a depth of only one to two feet. This is not true in Brantford. It's big and deep here. Ontario has some of the best canoeing and rafting. Fishermen will not mind this section of the Great it seems that is home to approximately 85 species of fish.

Brantford has a rich history that goes Beyond the famous people born there. It is picturesque, situated in one of the largest rivers in Ontario and has a night life that might surprise you to size of a city it is. Brantford is a great destination to visit, and hey, you do not want to visit the birthplace of El Grande.
