Canoeing Blackpool
Is Tuscany full of Brits or is it exaggerated?
I’m going there and don’t want it to be like France where as soon as you get off the plane you hear loud English voices, you go into the hotel to find the receptionist and owners are English; you go to book a canoe and the owner of that company is English, and at night the place is full of English drunks. Might as well go to Blackpool.
I understand what you are talking about but your fears are unfonded. Dont think at places like Spain, Cyprus, Canarias or Prague tuscany is a full, deep and very italian region with strong italian’s traditions in every sector. Probably you are referring to a number of brits who bought houses or even manor house in the middle of the pictoresque country…well they are quite an elite of few posh rich who settled there but probably is only the 0.02% of total Tuscan population there’s not a brit’s trace there as you will find at Costa del Sol where they just exported Uk in Spain, no is not the case of Tuscany at all. Hardly you will hear shouting drunk british flock around the place, is not a “popular” brits “colony” at all, the few one are well integrated and very different from the working class with chavs and things like that as is not a popular place but only for few capitalists Tuscany and the whole Italy is still very “italian” even if some brits are moving to other place than Tuscany as Marche, Abruzzo or down the south to Puglia they still don’t “export” themselves but tent to “disappear”, as they are very few and elite, melting with the rest of the local humanity..if you go to Tuscany you are more likeable to hear the tuscan accents instead of drunk shouting stoned brits teenagers neither adults, traditions very italians believe me (and the food worth a mention as well)
Swimming in Blackpool at 5am… Will we be arrested?
