Canyonlands National Park – anyone ever in a canoe or kayak?

I'm thinking about going west this summer, and this is one of the things I want to do. Has anyone ever in a canoe or kayak in this area before? Would you mind sharing your experiences? Any suggestions, tips before you go this summer? How much long are you going? Where his team car, or do you own? For now I'm more interested in the journey of just a relaxing place any faster! Here is a link: http://www.nps.gov/cany/planyourvisit/flatwater.htm thanks!

I have not made the trip myself, but the Verde River is on my list and I made a lot of research. Summer temps are Scorchers – so you really need to be careful if you're not used to the desert. Even a day or two during winter in the dry desert can clear the energy of someone if you're not prepared. Green is a very very muddy river, and standard water filters will not work as well you need to carry most of the water with you in the front. Any Tag Along or Tex waterways can do for you, and have seen amazing images of travel others. All the information you need is more or less on the websites of the two suppliers of equipment. I spoke with someone in the spring of Tex, and were very useful. Check out the links below (3 trip reports and the two sites of suppliers of equipment ") and you should find everything you need.
