Can a Canadian canoe in the river to Hartford Connecticut?
Some of my classmates and I were thinking of something different to do when we go camping this spring. My friend suggested paddling on the Connecticut River over. What would a trip like this right? I understand that they are prey on the road and that we should gather and walk around them. How long was your journey? (we live in the Hartford area).
It would take a while. The current through the north, probably in turn helps considerably. Find out what you can handle flat water and estimating the trip that way. That will give you a buffer time in Nice. Although I have to make the trip myself. The finding may be difficult a place to camp once you get into the TC, as I'm sure you know. I grew up in Old Saybrook, CT, although the mouth of the Connecticut River, and have seen the river a few miles from the border with Canada. I daresay which is navigable all the way from Canada. Not that is too rough, is only a stream … it is possible that bottom trawling. A few miles south perhaps. Good luck!
