Missouri Canoeing

Can I be arrested in my home state to break a law in a different state?
Hello, I recently went to a canoe trip on the Missouri River today. It is a well-traveled tourist spot, mostly college students party along the river while canoeing. I recently was ticketed for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. They said they have a court date in the court of Missouri very small city many miles away from my home in Illinois. I have some questions on the status of a person may be able to answer or direct me to a resource for answers. mailed Missouri say anything, or inform to any government office in Illinois the incident? Could he be arrested in Illinois when he lost his court date in Missouri? (ie, that just does not occur and not bother to find me) Do conservation officers have the authority River as a police officer for real? (Security of the university, for example, Tickets can supply, but have little or no sense if unpaid)
Be issued a court order and the next time you are pulled over you can be arrested and extradited to answer charges, it is best to answer them now than to be surprised in the future.
