Does anyone know the name of this old disney movie?

This movie was about a polynesian boy (about 13 yrs old) who leaves his island on a small outrigger canoe. He survives on another island learning how to fish and hunt. I’m pretty sure he kills a wild boar and a shark. He makes a necklace with the shark teeth and boars tusks. When he returns to his island he is like a hero because I know they take note of his necklace. Its like one of those boy becomes man movies. I know its a disney movie because I seen it on disney channel

I believe its called Call It Courage…its after a book by Armstrong Sperry…can’t find the exact movie description but heres the book’s description
