It sounds like you have a good handle on what to use. Here are some other good options: 1. Vibrax Blue Fox Minnow-http: / / esp www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15446____SearchResults These work well in current situations. 1/8-1/4 OZ models will catch a wide variety of fish such as trout, Bass, pike, walleye, etc. 2. Rapala Shallow Shad Rap-http: / / www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_2850____SearchResults These work exceptionally well in the shallow weeds. 3. Well Chatterbait-http: / / www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_83936____SearchResults I do not "sold" on these until recently. If fishing the mud / water stained or low light conditions (as in the Sunrise / Sunset and evening), this new design lure works! If the fish are conditioned to see, (and the "feeling"), Spinnerbaits, a chatterbait puts out a different "signature" in water. 4. A jig-Any 1 / 4 OZ Jig with Berkley Curly-Tail Grub Berkley Gulp or a leech. Jigs are low cost, productive, and the capture of a variety of fish. And you do not feels so bad when you lose! – Http: / / www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98932____SearchResults – http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_15723____SearchResults 5. Cotton Cordell Rattle Trap-http: / / www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44610____SearchResults I live near Duluth, MN and WI fish in the rivers regularly. We hope that these papers, as well as for you, since you do for me?! PS-Be sure to dowse all attractive lures with some fish. You fish "mouth" the lure a second time where you can feel better. Good luck.
